Corporate Description


The Sudbury Kinsmen Family Centre Foundation is a non-profit organization incorporated without share capital. The House of Kin is dedicated to meeting the needs of the families and individuals referred to Sudbury hospitals and specialists. The Sudbury Kinsmen Family Centre Foundation applied and received registered charitable status from Revenue Canada.

 

The organization is overseen by a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of community residents who represent a diverse cross-section of our local community. The Board offers the centre a wealth of experience, energy and commitment to one of our community's greatest needs. To further complement the Board, an Advisory Council consisting of prominent representation from all districts of Northeastern Ontario was created and provides an important link between our program and the general public. Each Advisory Council member understands and shares in our caring commitment for the delivery of service while offering a broad spectrum of experience and community contacts that enhances our program. The centers' day-to-day operation is overseen by a manager responsible for making operating decisions and reports directly to the Board of Directors.
